MY JOURNEY WITH THYROID SYMPTOMS*
Jan 12, 2019
I woke up one morning this week and knew I needed iodine. After all, a box of salt says iodine is a necessary nutrient so where's the iodine?? Sources everywhere says that our soil is depleted of iodine, (as well as other minerals) and it's no longer added to bread, or flour. Jan 16, 2019 Has anyone noticed that iodine (as an ingredient) is not found on any food labels, other than SALT? You might come across the word iodized in relation to the salt content of certain products, but as an ingredient (ie this product contains iodine) it doesn't exist. You see certain foods that are labeled as "heart healthy"...And the label will say "This product contains Omega 3"...whether it is naturally occurring or an added ingredient. But not iodine! Why is that? Jan 17, 2019 It is being suggested that iodine is even dangerous to take it? If it's a necessary nutrient, why is it dangerous. I've taken iodine in the past, and have read about it, but somehow I didn't take it very seriously. But something told me that morning that I needed it. Jan 18, 2019 My order is on its way.
I have taken these products in the past and I felt so much better. And I need to get back on my vitamins, herbs, and minerals. Jan 19, 2019 Were they mistaken as to it being necessary?? Or are the modern doctor's wrong? I'd bet on the modern ones being wrong faster than the ones who discovered it. Lives were saved, goiter's were shrunk, metabolism was balanced, and a myriad of other symptoms were resolved with the discovery of this important mineral. Jan 20, 2019 The problem is that in our modern age, we have so many things that cause, or contribute to malfunctions of the entire endocrine system, and many other functions of the body, both mental and physical. One thing is how we are bombarded with chemicals. They are in our food, in household cleaners, even in our water. Who are we supposed to believe though? Jan 21, 2019 There are SO many opinions, researches, articles, websites, etc. on this subject that it is mind boggling. So, where do I start? Jan 22, 2019 If somebody has figured this out, and has recovered from thyroid problems, they should be applauded. Whether it is a doctor, naturopath, or just someone who researched the subject and applied the protocol. Jan 23, 2019 I found a very interesting book, and wanted to use the suggestions, and started the protocol, but it made me feel ill. No name calling. We all have different reactions to certain things, and I won't blame the book author, I just know it wasn't right for me. Jan 25, 2019 . |

NOTE TO SELF: *I am calling it "thyroid symptoms" because something caused this. Whether it was stress, a lack of iodine in my diet, or exposure to iodine-robbing chemicals, something caused my thyroid to "act up". |
