My mothers memories of her grandmother, crabapple jelly, pears, big thick pot filled with water to the neck of jars. Sitting on porch, peeling fruit, putting it in jars, lots of fruit trees pomegranate, vegetables from the garden. Lots of chickens.
Her grandmother lived with them, and they lived with her til she got sick with cancer and she moved in with her brother to be closer to the hospital. Her brother also had a warmer house for her to be more comfortable. Mothers' mother moved in with her to help doctor her, take care of her. Mother went to see her when she could, she worked, pregnant with me when her grandmother died.  
Her grandmother was superstitious, wouldn’t touch mother while she was pregnant in last stages for fear she would mark the baby (me)
She had lots of quilts, gone after she died missing from her house. Her grandmother called her Boe, and later Von.



My focus is on writing, and sharing useful, inspiring content for women. I'm a woman, my writing and content is mainly geared toward married women, but of course, anyone can read, peruse my content.
