"And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good." Genesis 1:31
The first five tips were written by me as an adaptation on some tips I found in an old book called "The Art Of Good Living", by Svevo Brooks.
Do something useful with your hands every day:
a. Bake sourdough bread, homemade bread, Challah bread...Yes, you can do it if I can!
b. Hang out clothes
c. Garden: The Perfect Seedbed, Square Foot Gardening
d. Sew, Knit, Crochet.
e. Draw a picture
I could go even farther to say:
f. Wash dishes by hand.
g. Clean and scrub pots and pans.
h. Clean and scrub bathroom and floors.
i. Make beds.
l. Mop floors, wring mop with hands.
m. Hand wash delicates.
n. Peel, slice, chop food by hand.
o. Mix bread, cake and cookie batter by hand.
p. Polish furniture with real beeswax wax polish, by hand.
q. Iron clothes.
r. Rub your husband's back.
s. Scrub your husband's back.
t. Grind coffee by hand.
u. Wash your child's hair.
v. Write a letter.
w. Pat someone's shoulder.
x. Bandage a boo-boo on your child's knee.
y. Wipe away your child's tears.
z. Rub back and chest rub on someone who is sick and tuck them in bed.
Now there...Just think about all the things we do with an appliance, a machine, an instrument, an electronic device and think how far we have gotten away from using our hands!
James 5:16 "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." (Emphasis mine.)
The cure for anything is saltwater - sweat, tears, or the sea.

You don't stop laughing because you grow old, you grow old because you stopped laughing.
Here are some things that have been documented to improve health:
~Someone to love
~Something to love
~Laughing out loud
~Good clean fun
~A relationship with God
I figured out a long time ago, long before it was so well documented, that bright (favorite) colors, sunshine, lights, favorite aromas, and listening to music that I liked, really lifted my spirits...Sometimes I find myself in a sort of daze, feeling blue, and realize I need to turn on some music, light some candles or refresh the potpourri, and do the things I know will make me feel better...Why stay in the doldrums? Find what lifts your spirit and make those changes now.

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children."
Note: I am not a clean freak, but have had all three of my older grandchildren sick with viral meningitis at the same time. The eldest almost died from bacterial spinal meningitis a year before this in 2002, after having the chicken pox, which lowers the immune system...(this was after she had gotten her immunizations). If you ever experience this, you'll understand how I felt and why I am so particular about cleanliness after being in public especially. Even though these "germs" do reside in certain people without them even knowing it. But someone comes along with a weak immune system, and bam, they catch it from them. Do your research.
Otherwise, I do believe dirt/germs is healthy to an extent.
